The Disney Wish marks the introduction of the 5th ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet and the inaugural vessel of the new Triton class—a trio of ships set to expand the fleet by 2025. Notably, all Triton class ships will operate on liquefied natural gas, highlighting Disney's commitment to greener fuel solutions. With a gross tonnage of approximately 140,000 and about 1,250 guest staterooms, these ships are larger than their predecessors, the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.
