Pregnancy

  • The medical facilities and equipment onboard may not be sufficient to handle any complications that may occur during childbirth or pregnancy.
  • Safety reasons dictate that women who will be at or beyond their 24th week of pregnancy by cruise’s end cannot be accepted.
  • Fit to travel should be evaluated by a doctor before embarking on a cruise, irrespective of pregnancy stage.

Disabled Facilities

  • MSC Cruises offers the best facilities for all guests, including those with reduced mobility or disabilities.
  • Most of the excursions are fully wheelchair accessible.
  • In-house staff is trained to assist passengers with disabilities.
  • The restaurant doors and cabins are easily accessible by a disabled person.

Medical Facilities

  • Though MSC fleets are well-equipped with medical facilities, passengers are requested to bring their medicines and put them in their hand luggage.
  • A medical center is open at the time advertised in the booklet. But that doesn't mean their medical facilities can deal with a birth or any pregnancy complications. 
  • For safety reasons, they cannot admit any women who have reached or exceeded the 24th week of pregnancy by the end of the cruise. 

Dietary Requirements

  • MSC offers all types of special dietary requirements, such as gourmet, kosher, gluten-free, and more.
  • Even vegetarian menus of delicious specialties are freshly prepared onboard, along with pre-packed kosher meals.

Dress Code

  • Casual wear is advised for life onboard and shore excursions. 
  • For Gala evenings and parties, a slightly more formal dress is recommended. 
  • For formal evenings, cocktail dresses are for ladies, and a lightweight suit or dinner jacket is for the gentlemen on board. 
  • Appropriate clothing is recommended for visiting religious sites. For example, no low-cut tops, and shoulders and knees should be covered. 

Smoking Policy

  • There are specially designated areas on each vessel. 
  • Smoking or e-cigarettes are not permitted in cabins, balconies, or anywhere not expressly indicated by signage and ashtrays. 
  • Repeated smoking in non-smoking areas can ultimately lead to disembarkation. 

Wi-Fi

  • Onboard all MSC cruises, Wi-Fi is available at an additional cost. 
  • There are three packages – Standard Internet, Premium Internet, and Chat & Social. 
  • All three packages are unique and keep you connected with the world on land while you're at sea. 

Onboard Languages

  • Crew members use six different languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • The cabin information booklets and other printing materials used on board have been published in these six languages.
  • The menus in restaurants also use these languages depending on the area of the world in which each fleet is located.

Laundry Services

  • There is nothing quite like wearing freshly washed clothes, and same-day laundry service makes it convenient to enjoy them even more.
  • Continue your vacation relaxation and come home with your shirts and pants washed, dried, and ready to be packed away.
  • The laundry packages can be used anytime during your cruise, including on disembarkation day. There are multiple Laundry Service Packages to choose from.

Service Animals

  • Guide dogs suitable, trained, and certified are permitted on all ships when they are in good health condition and carry all documents required for the foreign countries visited during the cruise
  • The Guest will be precariously informed about the arrangement made for the animal, the facilities (if any), and the embarkation and disembarkation procedures.
  • The Guest is solely responsible (through a carer if applicable) for the keeping, feeding, and general care of the animal for the whole duration of their stay on board.
