Navigator of the Seas offers a handful of specialty restaurants, a traditional-style buffet, a café, and special menus.
Café Promenade stands in the Royal Promenade and is open all day, every day, making it a great place to enjoy coffee, sandwiches, pastries, or any other light meal the moment you feel hungry. For those who go to bed early or rise early, and for those who burn the midnight oil and want to have a meal or coffee, the seating is not restricted, meaning it's possible to munch on an appetizer while looking at other people enjoying themselves or simply waiting for another activity to start.
Onboard the cruise, where else, expect a visit to Chops Grill if you are a steak lover. Situated inside The Windjammer, this cut-off space serves all the popular whiskeys from Filet Oscar to New York strip and their delicious accompaniments of truffle fries and creamed spinach, among many others. It provides a certain atmosphere that is more persistent and sophisticated than other places that one would consider casual dining; hence, it is ideal for a date. The level of service is definitely better, and this brings about a feeling of being herded into a table as opposed to being just another eatery on the ship.
El Loco Fresh specializes in Fresh, which is your friend. The casual eatery directly located on the pool deck features vivid and cheerful festival decorations that lift one’s spirits almost instantly. Be it taco, burrito, or its dozens of flavors of nacho, this place is served with attitude and fine cuisine grade food but in a very relaxing atmosphere. The al fresco seating allows one to bask in the sun whilst indulging in lunch or supper, and as it is right next to the swimming pool, it is an ideal spot in between swimming or sunbathing.
Hooked Seafood is heaven for seafood enthusiasts. This specific place is all about fresh seafood, from raw oysters to cooked fish, shrimp, and even shells. There are many varieties of food that you can find on the menu that are all related to ocean food, and the ambiance is dined with an ocean-inspired, relaxed atmosphere. Moreover, it is ideal for people who would like to savor fresh seafood on board a cruise, and the landscape from the restaurant enhances the ambiance even more. Well, if you love oysters or seafood in a tower, then this is the place.
Izumi does serve food from other Asian countries, but its focus is unlike Jamie's Italian, which concentrates on Japanese cuisine. This Asia restaurant combines many types of cuisines and has a variety of food such as sushi rolls, sashimi, bowls, gyoza, edamame, and many more starters. The interactive hibachi tables are a fun highlight, where you can watch chefs cook your meal right in front of you. The setting is clean and contemporary, and however seasoned you might be as a sushi eater or inexperienced, there will be something on the menu that will make your mouth water. It's perfect for a simple, laid-back meal as well as for a more fun-filled eating activity.
In Jamie’s Italian tradition, Italian food is further improved and incorporated with creativity. Some interesting modern versions of traditional dishes include marinated eggplant Parmesan ‘steak’ and truffle tagliatelle, as well as the normal freshly cooked pasta and cured meat and cheeses. It's warm but contemporary, and most of all, the staff is accommodating and still professional. It's an entertaining and colorful environment in which to indulge in culinary classics from Italy but in different interpretations. Don’t forget to leave some space in case there is a dessert because Jamie’s desserts are more than recommended!
Johnny Rocket’s Express offers a variety of diner food you know and cherish, only this time with a twist. It’s on the deck of the ship, and it’s a relaxed place where you can get burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and other kinds of food with all the standard toppings. The milkshakes are also quite delicious, as are their alcoholic milkshakes for adults. Most of the time, when I step into the diner’s ambiance, it is fun and packed with positive energy, allowing guests to dine in and out within a short while. You can have meaty burgers and even cold chili dogs, and still, this place will get the comfort food done tasty as always.
There is a Starbucks on the ship where you can sip your favorite blends of coffee while at sea. Suppose you are the type that never fails to grab a latte in the morning or even a Frappuccino in the late afternoon. In that case, there is nothing to worry about as Starbucks includes all their usual offers, along with the addition of cakes and other snacks that can be consumed throughout the day. It is a nice place to go and get re-energized in between things you have planned or buy your drink and get seated for some time. The fact that a Starbucks exists onboard makes the cruise even better because a comfortable and warm environment is guaranteed.
The Main Dining Room is the focus of all dining activities on board and features three decks of seating and magnificent interior design. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has an array of complimentary meals suitable for everyone. The menu offers a variety of options such as breakfast cuisine, dinner cuisine, and others on a rotating daily basis, and the staff is good at their jobs. The ambiance is such that it’s quite reminiscent of a cruise, as there are white table covers and several meals served. On the other hand, if you want to have a more proper meal, the Main Dining Room is the place for you.
Windjammer Café is the main buffet restaurant onboard, featuring an extensive menu that is available at all times. Be it breakfast, lunch, supper, or even midnight snacks, there is food available at the buffet range for everyone. Whether it is tasting food from different countries or just a simple meal, this option is always ideal when one feels like eating almost everything. It could also be useful for people traveling with children or those willing to try many meals. The easygoing come-and-go concept combined with the time taken to eat encourages many guests to use this style of dining.
The Chef’s Table is Dublin’s most famous and talked about restaurant, and one can expect a decadent meal along with expertly chosen wines to complement the meal. The Chef himself cooks the meal, which consists of many courses, and presents to the guests every course, explaining what it is and what wine combinations go with it. The last-minute dot-com attitude applies as the seating arrangements have a cheery ambiance, often with only limited guests. This is a great option if you have any special occasion or if you would like a fine dining experience without the crowd.
Due to guilt-free indulgence in TV and cinema all day, Room Service other than Dinner does make its appearance. It could be a simple breakfast in bed, late-night bears’ bites, or a room order of king player clay rice; room service is available for any circumstances aimed at portable consumption of food. This is ideal, especially when you just want to be alone or even when you are not in the mood to dress up to go out. Either from the balcony or within the confined space of a cabin, you can eat your food, which makes it the calmest eating experience that one can have on board.
