For bookings made from 16 January 2020 onwards, the following policies apply. Our onboard staff strive to provide our guests with the best possible cruise experience, and it is common to leave a tip in recognition of their service. How much to tip is a personal matter and is entirely at your discretion. Optional hotel and dining charges of $15.00 per guest per day will be automatically added to your onboard account so you don't have to worry about tip amounts or amounts. This amount will appear on your final bill at the end of your cruise. This fee will be split among the onboard staff (hospitality staff, cabin stewards, buffet stewards, kitchen staff, laundry staff, etc.) who assisted in supporting and delivering your cruise experience. Please note that this price does not include a tip at the bar. A 15% gratuity is automatically added to the 'Bar', 'Beverages', 'Wine' and 'Deck Service' tabs. If you need to change the tip amount or prefer to pay in cash, please contact Guest Services at any time. You can also tip your local tour guide or driver. We recommend paying in cash at the end of each tour. For your convenience, My Viking Journey allows you to pre-order chips at recommended standard prices. This fee is divided among the onboard staff who assisted and guided the cruise experience, including program directors, waitstaff, flight attendants, kitchen staff and sailing staff.
